Screenshots of supposed new iPod interface

“Here we go again ladies and gents. If you haven’t had enough of poorly edited iPod nano pics and proposed event outlines, maybe some alleged screenshots of the expected update to the iPod’s UI will keep you busy until game time. Think Secret claims to have received a video of a new iPod user interface that’s heavy on Cover Flow, animation and other eye candy. Instead of posting the actual video though, Think Secret has opted to provide only images of key aspects of the UI, including a new Events view for photos (borrowed from iPhoto ’08) and an iPhone-like view of music albums listed under an artist’s name with cover art thumbnails. Strangely, Think Secret believes only the nano will receive the flashy new UI (no pun intended). ”

“While most of these shots seem like a reasonable evolution of the iPod’s UI (especially if Apple actually cleared an OS X update), nothing about these pics screams ‘touch screen iPod’ to me. In fact, they look more properly suited to the use of a click wheel, since the iPod is less about inputting information and more about making simple selections of media to play”
