My thoughts on…Jamaica’s Situation

Ok, seriously Portia are you dumb or what? And some of these Jamaican people are so gullible and stupid; Portia says oh the ages of 3-18 wont pay when they go to the hospital, yes the people rejoice but think about it:

-The Money to pay for our debts most come from somewhere
-Tax for shit will go up
-Then you’ll suffer even more

Your probably as dumb as Bush, you make alot of stupid decisions and i dont like you. Now alot of people most be wondering about my political stance? Well i’m a JLP supporter for ever i say BRUCE BRUCE BRUCE…F*****G NOT. Now your another piece of work you arrogant piece of shit your the one i hate; i look at you and see evil.

I always wonder why,why do you freakin idiots insist on wrecking Jamaica even more it aches me, i love my country and i don’t want to see it get any worse. I mean is it really all about the money? I’m sure it cant be all about the money doesn’t anyone have Jamaica’s best interest at heart. As i sit here and write I’m so damn depressed and i feel like braking down.

Nowadays if you ask any teen what are their plans career wise, everyone wants to leave and go to some foreign country( including me) there’s not much, if any opportunities available here anymore and that’s sad…very sad i tell you. Now everyone with the skills leave then there’s no one here to develop the country and then we’re in deeper trouble because there’s no jobs. When they leave they don’t plan on returning because it’s all good in America. It’s not always so but at least they have a better standard of living there.

Jamaica is a blessed country and i don’t see how a country with such colorful people,abundant resources,skills,intelligence can be so blind as not to see what’s happening. We are losing everything we hold dare,We’re selling our companies to foreigners, our dollar is worth nothing, they come here drain our resources make the money and invest in there country and we sit here like idiots and watch.

Now on to the Media, why is it that everyday it’s crime, crime,crime,crime cant there be something positive for once. Majority of what is shown on the news is negative; potential investors watch Jamaican news, scared by what they see and then change there minds about investing here.

I hope i can look at this post in a few years and see how the country has changed for the better, but i myself am at fault we talk about the problems of the country and yet no one is willing to change it. Heh, why not run for Prime Minister? Is it impossible? If Portia can do it then anyone can, please to any Jamaican who is reading this, think about what i have written we can all make a change, i plan on leaving my country but never forgetting where i am from i country has SO MUCH POTENTIAL, our youths are talented, but nothing to help them to make that talent shine the media wont help so we need to. I could go on forever but i don’t want to bore you.

Hey friend I know how you feel cause I have been in your seat but hear me on this. The best state anything can be in is its worst state. Why? because of people like you and I. Forget about foreign, with all who leaving ja for else where it means only more competition from those bright jamaicans. It also mean less competition at home and therefore, if you think about it, and if you THINK, you can do pretty well for yourself staying right where you are. Again hear me on this because I have been in your seat and I have done it. Still doing it too. All you need to do is believe in your own power (1) see opportunities where others don’t (2) and network with other people like yourself (3). It is that easy. Get over being depressed, get over being upset with government, get a plan and get going. Thats all I have to say.

aaah the stresses of Jamaica’s political situation, we rant we cuss we chat but I think it’s time we all come together and do something about the situation.

Firstly re the free healthcare – bullshit is what I say as well, six of one half dozen of the other as mi granny would say. The “freeness” mentality is just one of the many things wrong with Jamaica – gone are the days of hard work, sweat and tears – no wonder so much fags full up the place, cuz we would do anything for fi money.

secondly on the migrating friends – I too can relate well to the same issue, 9 out of every 10 exceptionally smart person I went to school with, who turned out to be a lawyer, doctor, architect, nurse, engineer, scientist, technician, programmer, you name it – THEY ARE ALL ABROAD….in Canada, USA, UK…even rass Russia, Thailand and Dubai!!!!!! now it must really bad a yard fi mi professional brothers and sisters fi a left ya suh rapid if job did deh a mars dem reach deh too…but the question is…the so called bigga heads nuh si this?

thirdly on the blessings and resources – Jamaica’s location is smack damn middle of the western hemisphere and and a stone’s throw away from all the major economies in the region, we have one of the largest and deepest ports (that i just happen to live on the coast of), why the hell arn’t we position as the sea and air hub of the damn west!!!! now on to the resources….that one ya mek mi want to cuss badword…all mi affi seh is bauxite, hydro, wind, food, tourism…lawd god mek mi stop there. Why are we selling our bauxite cheap to first world countries who then make it into aluminum and the make 100 times the profit? a suh wi fool? bauxite is damn worthless, but aluminium is in every damn thing, from electronics, to cars, to space shuttles!!!!!!! why don’t we try and get into where the money is?!?!?!?!?!?!?? and where more money will be in the future!!!!!! read this…and when you drop off your seat come back to read more of my comment

no man we prefer fi sell sugar and live off a backward slavery days product. next energy I will put my life on the line to say that hydro and wind energy could slash Jamaica’s energy bill by at least 20%. we spent over a 1 and a half billion US dallaz last year on energy mi not even going to convert that to JA dollaz cuz that only going to show up our sliding dollar. imagine 20% a dat and what it can do!!!!!

forth point the media – what media? as far as me see it the Jamaican media want a beating…them unprofessionally and single minded just to say it lightly. The negative is what sells newspapers and what makes the nightly news watchable – thats their argument but all of them website, newscasts and papers put together nuh mek one. Jamaicapage.com is a website that I created that focuses on the POSITIVE going on in the island…it’s a small voice muffled by the shouts of negativity but it shall speak non-the-less.
